Ministers Approve Expansion of Textbook Program

The Ministerial Law Committee on Sunday ratified a law proposed by Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar which would expand a program whereby schools would provide textbooks for students. The program will be expanded to a number of schools, where parents will be asked to vote on how they wanted the program run.

Among the recommended options is having parents pay a rental fee for books each year, or replacing books that are damaged.
