The White House announced on Thursday the names of the recipients of the Medal of Freedom, the highest decoration in the United States.

In addition to Israeli President Shimon Peres, the recipients include former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, singer Bob Dylan, African American writer Toni Morrison, former Supreme Court Judge John Paul Stevens, former astronaut and Senator John Glenn, and others.
