About 7,000 people spent Thursday marking Israel's Independence at the central celebration of the Binyamin Regional Council in the Neve Tzuf Forest. They enjoyed a variety of activities, according to the Tatzpit news agency.

Hiking trails, streams and springs around the region were filled with tourists. Security was provided by police, the Israel Defense Forces and the council's security department.
