Miller: Tibi & Co. Continue to Lead Theater of Absurd

Chairman Alex Miller of the Knesset Education Committee, called on the Treasury, Thursday, to investigate the expenses of Israel's Higher Arab Monitoring Committee, in a reaction to a march by Knesset members from the predominantly Arab party's to observe "Nakba" (Arabic for "catastrophe") Day, as hostile Arabs refer to the establishment of the modern state of Israel. Miller is the initiator of the "Nakba Law", which is intended to withhold state funds from entities which promote Nakba Day activities on the Hebrew or English anniversary of Israel's independence.

Miller said, "It is unthinkable that organizations that are supported by the state for education and welfare will use taxpayer funds and harm the symbols of the state, against the law. The theater of the absurd continues, under the leadership of Member of Knesset [Ahmed] Tibi and his friends."
