The Negev town of Merchavam will mark Independence Day not only with the traditional barbecue, but with the highly expected move into permanent housing, after a decade of living in trailers. Resident Shira Sharabi told INN, “Everyone is invited. There will be a whole fair with refreshments and inflatable bouncy trampolines, including a performance of entertainer Golan Azulai. We are delighted that our families have gradually begun to move into permanent housing. We will be happy to see you.”
