The Egyptian military deployed more forces in the Sinai Peninsula on Wednesday to protect an Israel Defense Force memorial. Anti-Israel protesters in Egypt have threatened to vandalize the site. The large stone monument is dedicated to ten Israeli soldiers who were killed there in a helicopter crash. The Sinai Peninsula was part of Israel until the Camp David Accords process which began in 1978.
