Several Egyptian presidential candidates welcomed Sunday’s cancellation of the gas agreement with Israel, Kol Yisrael radio reported.
According to the report, Islamist candidate Abdel Munem Abul-Futooh said that the cancellation came too late, adding that it is a perverse and unreasonable agreement. Candidate Hamdeen Sabahy, who is affiliated with the Nasserite movement, also welcomed the cancellation of the agreement and said that it respects the will of the Egyptian people.
