The official value of the shekel rose an average of .094 percent, Friday, against most of the currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.757, down .133 percent, while the Euro remained unchanged at 4.9346 shekels.

The pound sterling rose. 038 percent to NIS 6.036, while 100 Japanese yen were set at 4.6016 shekels, down .098. The Canadian dollar fell .82 percent to NIS 3.7732 and the Australian dollar was fixed at 3.8787 shekels, down .554 percent.
