Knesset Chairman Reuven Rivlin has met Hareidi mentor Rabbi Aharon Yehuda Leib Steinman to discuss the Tal Law crisis. Two months ago the High Court ruled not to extend the law that provides full time Yeshiva students with the option of civil or military service before deciding upon returning to permanent studies, enabling them to obtain a job and make a living. The High Court ruled that the law is non-constitutional. The government must now come up with a Hareidi IDF draft alternative legislation. (Maariv)
