Party on Holocaust Day in Umm el-Fahm

While most Israelis remember the millions murdered in the Holocaust, residents of the Israeli-Arab town of Umm el-Fahm will be celebrating, Kikar Hashabat reports. The municipality is sponsoring a party in honor of the return of Sheikh Raed Salah, leader of the extremist northern branch of the Islamic Movement, an Israeli Muslim group that does not recognize Israel.

The party is to begin at 7:30 p.m., and will include music and speeches from community leaders.

Salah spent several months in prison in Britain after entering the country despite having been banned for hate speech.
