Group: Gov't Should Recognize Post-1953 Survivor Olim

The Ken Lazaken (Nest for the Old) organization called on the government, Tuesday, to recognize Holocaust survivors who immigrated to Israel after 1953 and give them the same rights as the survivors who came to Israel before then.

Interviewed by Kol Yisrael government radio, association chairman Natan Levon said that an historical injustice must be corrected to end discrimination against thousands of survivors from Bulgaria, Libya Morocco, Romania and Tunisia.
