Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted modest losses to start trading on Tuesday. A few minutes into the session, the TA Composite index stood at 1,027.58, down .12 percent, while the TA 100 declined .14 percent to 1,038.94, including a .18 drop to 1,129.35 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The communications and media stocks rose 1.27 percent to 605.51, while the insurance index stood at 1.061.95, up .31 percent, as the financial institutions slipped .09 percent to 932.77, including a .02 decline to 1,008.09 by the bank issues. The same percentage drop meant a 294.75 posting for the real estate stocks and the oil and natural gas index slipped .07 percent to 1,257.04. The biomed issues stood at 740.01, down two tenths of a percent, while the rest of the technology stocks slumped .65 percent to 322.19.
