Post Office Selling International SIM Cards

The post office is beginning to sell SIM cards for Israelis travelling abroad. The price for the World8 card, provided by the Israeli representative of the international company bearing that name, begins at NIS 1.25 per minute. The cost of the card is 134 shekels, with loading starting at 50 shekels, including an option to load more credit, which does not have to be used in one trip.

Chief Executive Officer Chaim Almoznino of the post office says the cost of the card is cheaper than that of the cell phone companies and joins a number of services for travellers, including currency exchange, credit cards in dollars and Euros, and insurance.
