Shabak: Terror Attacks Up Significantly in March

The rain of rockets and mortar shells from Gaza that started in March was behind a significant increase in terror attacks, according to figures released, Sunday, by the Shabak Israel Security Agency. Following a relatively quiet month of February, when only 36 attacks were recorded, 173 rockets and 19 mortar shells were launched at Israeli targets in 157 attacks and one explosive device was placed near the Gaza security fence.

Attacks in Judea and Samaria rose by one to 43, while those in Jerusalem rose from 27 to 29. Of the 72 attacks overall, two were stabbings and 70 were firebomb attacks.
