Hareidim in Verbal Attack on MK Kirschenbaum

A group of hareidi-religious threatened to break up a panel discussion on current events in Jerusalem, in which Member of Knesset Fania Kirschenbaum (Yisrael Beiteinu) participated, Sunday, when the subject of the Tal Law came up. The law, which grants military deferments to draft-age yeshiva students, while offering incentives for joining the labor force, was recently cited for showing favoritism.

Kirschenbaum responded by noting that the hareidi community has an option for national volunteer service and that a law proposed by her party discusses minorities, such as the Bedouin, without singling out the hareidi-religious community.
