The Women in Green for Israel's Tomorrow called on the public, Friday, to join the evicted Jewish residents of Beit Hamachpelah (Machpelah House), near the Me'arat Hamachpelah Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron, for even an hour or two, during the upcoming Passover holiday. The organization noted that the residents are remaining on area streets "to continue the just demand of implementing the purchase." The organization called on people to "contribute to the continued purchase of additional houses in Hebron and in all Eretz Israel [the land of Israel -ed.] as a whole."
Referring to Defense Minister Ehud Barak's decision to evict the Jews pending a check of the validity of their purchase of the house, after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu asked for them to be allowed to stay, pending a resolution of the question, Women in Green said, "If only he would have used that same daring against the Arab attacks from Gaza or in Lebanon where he folded, also in a typical 'Barak' manner."
