The United Nations Security Council approved, Thursday, the agreement between Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and envoy Kofi Annan, under which Syrian troops will stop their assault on civilians next week.

Earlier, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon made it clear that, as of now, the violence is continuing and Al-Assad is not implementing the agreement.
