Netanyahu Vows to Fight Rocket Attack on Eilat

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu stated Thursday, "The Sinai Peninsula has turned into a launching pad. Israel will strike those trying to harm it." There were no physical injuries ro property damage reported in the attack. Officials deduce the rockets were fired by terrorists from the Sinai Peninsula. The Sinai has become increasingly lawless since the ouster of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The region was part of Israel until the Camp David Accords between Israel and Egypt which began in 1978.
