Israel to Conduct Tests to Extend Range of Iron Dome

A senior security official from the Israel Defense Forces announced that a series of tests will be conducted in the Iron Dome rocket defense system. The IDF wants to double the range that the Iron Dome can shoot down rockets, as reported by Galei Yisrael army radio.

Professional bodies said increasing the range is possible. They said such an upgrade in such a short time would be a technological breakthrough.

The Iron Dome has successfully shot down rockets aims at Israel in mid air before their impact. Other countries are now interested in purchasing the Israeli made invention.
