Residents of the Ulpana (Girls Religious High School) neighborhood in the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Beit El were surprised, Tuesday morning. to see six officers, led by a colonel, visiting in the neighborhood, which is slated for uprooting under a Supreme Court order. The officers left the area by two undercover cars.

The neighborhood committee issued a statement which read, "Residents are appalled by the fact that a Likud government led by [Binyamin] Netanyahu - [and Ehud] Barak has begun preparing for the demolition of the neighborhood that it built, itself, 12 years ago."
