A number of streets in Tel Aviv will be closed until 1:00 p.m. for the running of the Tel Aviv Marathon and a number of shorter races.

The marathon got under way at 6:45, preceded by handcycle and inline skating races. Shortly after 8:00, two general 10-kilometer races and a special heat for the Israel Defense Forces started. In the 9:00 hour, there will be a mini-marathon for children and a 4.2 kilometer race.
