Most of the featured indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted moderate to sharp losses, Thursday, to close out the trading week. The TA Composite index declined 1.64 percent to 1,019.53, while the TA 100 finished the day at 1,032.48, down 1.74 percent, including at 1.81 percent drop to 1,124.85 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues. The 50 stocks below the TA 100 closed at 354.13, down .72 percent.
Worst hit was the bank index, which fell 3.28 percent to 994.31 as the financial institutions finished the day at 910.10, down 2.5 percent, including a 1.23 percent decline to 1,010.56 by the insurance issues. The oil and natural gas stocks closed at 1,251.87, down 2.33 percent and the communications/media index slumped 1.8 percent to 637.50. The real estate issues finished the day at 282.99, down 1.75 and the biomed stocks declined 1.68 percent to 733.75, while the rest of the technology index closed at 321.98, down 1.04 percent.
