Prediction: 15.6 Million Israelis in 2059

The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has published predictions regarding Israel’s population in the year 2059. Demographers believe the population will have reached 15.6 million, with hareidi-religious Jews and Arabs making up the majority of Israel’s citizens.

The hareidi-religious population in particular is expected to grow quickly, reaching a total of at least 2.73 million, or 264% of its current size. At maximum, the hareidi population may grow by 686% to 5.84 million, demographers said. The non-hareidi Jewish population is expected to grow to 6.09 to 9.95 million.
