Mass prayers will be held at the Kotel (Western Wall) beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday, in response to many recent tragedies that have hit the Jewish people. Last week a terrorist murdered a rabbi and three young children at a Jewish school in France, and on Monday Guy Shear and his five children died in a house fire.

Organizers told Arutz Sheva that the plan is “to call on the Holy One, Blessed is He, to sweeten the fate prepared for us.” There is a sense that now is a dangerous time, they said.

Everyone is welcome at the event. Those who come are asked to bring a shofar if they have one.

Noted kabbalist Rabbi Batzri is expected to participate.
