Update: Border Victims Included Israeli Arab

One of the two people shot dead on the Egyptian border on Tuesday was an Arab citizen of Israel. He and a Egyptian citizen died after attempting to infiltrate Israel. The Egyptian citizen was found wearing an IDF uniform.

IDF soldiers spotted the two and fired warning shots. The two turned back to Egypt, and were spotted by Egyptian soldiers, who opened fire, killing both.

The IDF is investigating the incident.
