'Light Rail Stabber' an 18-Year-Old from Eastern J'lem

Police disclosed, Monday that the Arab being held on suspicion of stabbing a soldier on the Jerusalem light rail, 10 days ago in the northern neighborhood of Pisgat Ze'ev, was an 18-year-old resident of eastern Jerusalem. They sought to keep him locked up until the end of proceedings against him during a remand hearing in the Jerusalem Magistrates Court.

The assailant confessed during interrogation, explaining the attack was in revenge for Israeli actions against Arabs. He acted alone and did not belong to a terror organization.
