Prices were down slightly at the start of trading, Monday, at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. The TA Composite index stood at 1,019,29, down .11 percent, while the same percentage loss meant an opening of 1,032.83 for the TA 100, including a .15-percent slip to 1,126.28 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The communications/media stocks led the gainers, advancing .36 percent to 645.20, followed by the financial institutions at 925.48, up a quarter of a percent, including a fifth of a percent rise by the insurance issues to 992.57 and a .05 advance to 1,028.93 by the bank index. The oil and natural gas stocks stood at 1,241.04, up .22 percent and the biomed issues rose .11 percent to 733.46, while the rest of the technology index stood at 318.87, down .21 percent. The real estate index declined .11 percent to 284.13.
