Workers' representatives instructed about ten "Generation 2" distributors and their assistants, Sunday evening, not to come to work at the Tnuva agricultural cooperative's northern distribution center in Haifa for 24 hours as employees continue their sanctions in protest of a deadlock with management on a collective bargaining agreement. Workers will attend informational meetings on the deadlock and supplies to merchants will be disrupted. On Monday and Tuesday, similar warning strikes will take place at Tnuva's central and southern distribution centers.
Chairman Achiav Simchi of the workers' organization said the workers could not sit idly by waiting for management, adding that he has not heard directly from the company despite its calls in the media for dialogue with the workers. He said that with the company showing a profit, there's no reason for the workers to be treated this way.
