Deputy Knesset Speaker Danny Danon applied to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin, Sunday, to hold a special Knesset session during the break between the winter session and the next session to pass a bill to regulate Jewish outpost communities in Judea and Samaria. Under the measure, petitioners claiming ownership of lands on which communities were built would be compensated, but the communities would not be uprooted.
Responding to a Supreme Court decision rejecting a government agreement to delay the uprooting of the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Migron, he said, "The High Court is trying to prevent the government from carrying out its role. We will pass a Migron arrangement through legislation and make it clear to the court that the government is the sovereign in the state of Israel." The World Likud leader said, "There is no reason that Jews should be expelled from their homes during a Likud administration."
