Shekel Slips, Euro Down, Dollar Up, Yen Jumps

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .073 percent, Thursday, in mixed trading against the other currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.755, up .321 percent, while the Euro fell .289 percent to 4.9414 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5,9365, up .056 shekels, while 100 Japanese yen rose 1,805 percent to 4.5337 shekels, and the South African rand was fixed at NIS .4857, up .878 percent.
