PM Netanyahu and Director of the PMO, Harel Loker, met Ethiopian representatives in Kiryat Malachi Thursday afternoon. The meeting was intended to address Ethiopian integration in society, and the battle against racism.
At the opening of the meeting the PM announced, “Racism will not be legitimate in Israel. I met with Ethiopian representatives and Kessim a few days ago. There are great successes with Ethiopian integration, but also much to mend. We will address four issues: Housing, Education, Employment, and Religion. The main reason I came here, to Kiryat Malachi is to express my solidarity with you, and my government’s disapproval of racism phenomena. We will not tolerate the compartmentalization and castigation of part of our people. I will not tolerate racism. We will continue with our efforts to integrate Ethiopians. Racism will not be legitimate in the State of the Jewish Nation.
