The Knesset approved on Wednesday the first reading of a mining law proposed by MK Uri Ariel (National Union).
The law stipulates that any person, who acquires or receives goods from a quarry without ensuring in advance that it is legal, will be sentenced to six months in prison or fined of 75,000 shekels.
