MK Shlomo Molla (Kadima) expressed satisfaction Wednesday with the approval of a bill he proposed that will set up a national center for Ethiopian Jewish heritage. “It is important to document and research the vibrant history of Ethiopian Jewry, particularly in the community where many traditions were passed down orally,” he said.

The heritage center would help Ethiopian Jews to integrate in Israel, and would help Israelis understand the community’s traditions, he added.
