Israel to Open Fourth Consulate in China

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman is in China for an official visit. He talked with Governor Jufeng Jiang of Sichuan and proposed opening a consulate in the region. It will be the fourth official Israeli representation in China. An embassy in Beijing and two other consulates current exist in the country. Liberman said that the Jewish and Chinese people both have ancient traditions. He pledged to continue official diplomatic relations he said were rooted in an ancient friendship.
