The European Union will allocate 35 million euros to improve the infrastructure in the Palestinian Authority-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria as well as in Gaza, according to a report by AFP on Monday.

According to the report, the EU’s Foreign Policy Minister, Catherine Ashton, signed an agreement with PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, according to which a fund of 22 million euros will be established for the construction of a water purification plant. The remaining 13 million euros will go towards the renovation of the crossings through which goods from Israel enter Gaza.
