A report Monday night said that two synagogues in Paris had received threatening letters. The report quoted Paris police as saying that the letters had been sent to synagogues in the eighth and nineteenth arrondissements (administrative districts), calling Jews “the people of the devil. Hell is waiting for you.”

Police would not say if the letters had any connection to the attack in Toulouse earlier Monday. Four people, including Rabbi Yonatan Sandler of Kiryat Yovel in Jerusalem and two of his children, were killed in the attack on the Otzar HaTorah in Toulouse Monday morning.
