The Hebrew University Student Union will hold a march, Tuesday, from the Mount Scopuscampus tothe French Hill neighborhood,wherehundreds of studentswill lightcandlesto protest theincompetenceof the authorities indealingwith violenceagainststudentsin the area.
The studentsexplain thatin recent years,increasedcases ofsexual assault,burglary ofcarsand throwing stonesatstudentsinFrench Hill has madedaily lifeunbearablein the area.Despite theKnessetEducation Committeehearingsandothersettings,the authorities have failed toeradicatethe phenomenon,whichthreatensthe lives ofstudentsevery day.
