Students to March for Mount Scopus Safety

The Hebrew University Student Union will hold a march, Tuesday, from the Mount Scopus campus to the French Hill neighborhood, where hundreds of students will light candles to protest the incompetence of the authorities in dealing with violence against students in the area.

The students explain that in recent years, increased cases of sexual assault, burglary of cars and throwing stones at students in French Hill has made daily life unbearable in the area. Despite the Knesset Education Committee hearings and other settings, the authorities have failed to eradicate the phenomenon, which threatens the lives of students every day.
