Residents of a historically Jewish neighborhood on Leghorn Avenue in the Sherman Oaks area in Los Angeles found swastikas scrawled on at least three properties Wednesday, according to KTLA television.

Los Angeles police officials said they are investigating the incident as vandalism and a possible hate crime.
