Students in Rocket Range May Get Different Exam Dates

A meeting was held this morning by the Knesset Education Committee to discuss the affect the attacks from Gaza will have on Israeli students. The committee chairman, Member of Knesset Alex Miller (Yisrael Beiteinu Party) called on the Ministry of Education to give students living within rocket range alternative dates for taking final exams.

He stated, "the message conveyed to students in Israel back home is that Israel is unable to defend itself. We have to produce a deterrent that prevents damaging the daily routine of southern residents."

MK Miller said that since every year the rockets reach farther and farther, Israel needs to increase the protection range of its defense measures.
