Education Minister Gid'on Sa'ar met, Tuesday in Be'er Sheva' with Mayor Rubik Danilovitz regarding the latest spate of rocket attacks from Gaza. Sa'ar, who serves on the security cabinet, "In the past, there was a reality of a daily rain of rockets on residents of the south and today the reality is different. We must say clearly that these rounds [of missile fire] are completely unacceptable [to Israel] as a sovereign nation. During the current round, the Israel Defense Forces has hit the heads of terror in a strong and effective manner but one cannot accept a situation in which the routine of residents of the south is disrupted.
He continued, "There's an interest in returning to routine as fast as possible. School is the basis for returning to routine." Sa'ar expressed hope that the full return to normal will take place on Wednesday. At the end of the meeting, the minister visited the Be'er Sheva' school that was hit by a rocket on Sunday.
