The Ministry of Environmental Protection announced, Tuesday, that a heavy amount of air pollution can be expected until Wednesday morning in most of the country because of an increase in the concentration of breathable particles in the air. A meteorological depression, east of Crete, was cited for bringing dust from northern Africa into the region.
The ministry recommends thatpeople withheart and lung ailments, the elderly,childrenand pregnant women refrainfrom strenuous physical activity.
