The Ministry of Environmental Protection announced, Tuesday, that a heavy amount of air pollution can be expected until Wednesday morning in most of the country because of an increase in the concentration of breathable particles in the air. A meteorological depression, east of Crete, was cited for bringing dust from northern Africa into the region.

The ministry recommends that people with heart and lung ailments, the elderly, children and pregnant women refrain from strenuous physical activity.
