A report Monday, quoting top Hamas terrorists, said that Egypt was working with EU countries to restore quiet in Gaza. According to the report, Egypt has proposed to Hamas that the rocket fire on Israel be ended, and in exchange Egypt would provide diesel fuel and gas to Gaza.
A top Hamas official blamed Israel for the ongoing rocket fire by Gaza Arab terrorists, saying that Israel's military escalation was “a method by which Israel is trying to get out of its responsibilities to the international community.”
