Danon Seek's Tibi's Ouster over Gaza Encouragement

Member of Knesset Danny Danon (Likud) asked Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, Monday to distance Knesset member Ahmed Tibi (Balad) from the Knesset, following Tibi's words of encouragement for Gaza terrorists on Shabbat. Tibi wrote on his Facebook page, "Gaza, you are strong. Gaza, you stand firmly!"

Danon said, "Tibi has crossed every red line possible. In another country, he would already be sitting behind bars for the rest of his life. A million Israeli citizens are living under the fire of extreme terrorists in Gaza and Tibi chooses to praise the actions of the terrorists." The Deputy Knesset Speaker continued, "We cannot remain silent about the terror cell that is developing in the Knesset. The Shabak Israel Security Agency must check all of Tibi's activities and he must be distanced from all classified information in the Knesset as a first step, and then to be ousted on the background of his support for armed struggle against the state of Israel. Tibi's words receive widespread resonance in the Arab world and encourage terror in Gaza to continue to launch rockets at the southern communities."
