Chairman Moshe Gafni of the Knesset Finance Committee said, Monday, that Knesset members would formulate recommendations for dealing with the cost of living and bring them to the Treasury. 

Gafni's words came at the end of a stormy session on the cost of living, during which he asked the Finance Ministry to "change policy and make it easy for citizens by defering Value-Added Tax and other taxes on basic necessities like electricity, water and fuel. He said the state profits the most from price increases.
