Firefighters: Safety Suffering During Attacks

The firefighting union in the Lachish region reported, Monday, a rise in incidents where they were called to deal with fires caused when people left food on the stove to scamper to their protected space in case of a rocket attack. They also had to respond to fires caused by appliances that were left on and people getting locked in the safe rooms.

The firefighters acknowledged the need to get into safe rooms in a timely fashion but reminded the public to remain aware of fire safety and risks they face.
