The Civil Service Commission, on Sunday, decided after a hearing that Natan Eshel, who suspended himself from his job as director of staff at the Prime Minister's Office, would be formally fired from the post. He is not to return to work for the state, the disciplinary court convened specifically to deal with the issue decided.
No charges were filed in the case, in which Eshel was said to have harassed a female staffer. The disciplinary court did not explore that issue, but said that as Eshel had been a senior official, “his behavior is a matter of great concern.”
