French Finance Minister Francois Baroin has welcomed news of Greece’s planned bond swap deal. “This is good news, this is a success,” he said in a radio interview. The deal will allow Greece to avoid bankruptcy.

Baroin expressed confidence in Spain’s chances of dealing with its deficit as well.
