Itzik Kornfein chairman of the Beitar Jerusalem Football (soccer) team denounced what he called was an unfair punishment against his team. Beitar in the past has been penalized for rowdy fans and off-color slogans which the Football Association has called racist against Arabs. Kornfein said the penalties were excessive and disproportionate when compared to other football teams in Israel.
