Rabbi Mordechai Negari of Maale Adumim joked that the Israeli Supreme Court might very well have deemed the hanging of Haman to be unfair. Haman was the enemy of the Jewish people during the time of the Purim affair in Persia. "We saw in the haftarah this week that King Saul wanted to show compassion for Agag the Amalekite [of whom Haman was a descendent]," Rabbi Negari stated. "There are times not to feel sorry for the cruel. When it comes to Israel's existence, there are times when we can not go according to international legal standards," the rabbi commented.
