All of the indices at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange started Tuesday with moderate losses. The TA Composite index stood at 983.78, down .61 percent, while the TA 100 declined .64 percent to 994.60, including a six-tenths of a percent drop to 1,085.89 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Worst hit were the oil and natural gas stocks, which stood at 1.163.14, down .93 percent, followed by most of the technology issues, which declined nine tenths of a percent to 294.97, while the biomed issues slipped .04 percent to 730.03. The real-estate stocks declined .88 percent to 275.38 and the communications/media index stood at 656.36, down .24 percent. With insurance stocks declining eight tenths of a percent to 934.72, the financial institutions declined seven tenths of a percent to 840.82, including a .56 percent drop by the bank stocks to 920.73.
